Bilal Al-Hattab, Managing Director, Digi Matrix Technologies, is elated about the company’s sales performance at the Sign and Graphic Imaging exhibition held in January in Dubai. The recent few months have seen Digi Matrix establishing itself as a prominent distributor for global brands of large format digital printing and digital pre-press offset printing machines; engraving, cutting, and laser equipment; and indoor and outdoor media and applications.
“The Sign & Graphic 2010 show was highly successful for us, and I can say that it was one of the best shows in Dubai during the last 5-6 years; we closed some deals on our signature products during the show and we received a positive response to our presentations and marketing campaigns during the show,” he said.
The following deals have been confirmed among several others lined up in the negotiation process: a single package deal comprising a Dilli Flatbed UVT2506, Digi Cam CNC Router 48 with a high quality 2D cutting system, and DGI-PS3206 RTR solvent machine along with an LED Screen delivered to Development Company of Printing Company (Dar Al-Tatweer) in Libya. The deal has established a new partnership between the companies in the Libyan Market.
The company also installed a Digi Cam CNC Router 48 and also 3.2RTR solvent machine at Al-Shehabi Advertising in Bahrain. Furthermore, a Dilli Flatbed UV1606W and Digi Cam 48 have been shipped to New Style, a long time partner of the company in Bahrain.
Among other agreements with clients in GCC countries, a Dilli Flatbed 1606W and Digi Cam have been sold to Al-Jozail Advertising in Kuwait and a Digi Cam48 to Stallion Advertising in Qatar.
“We have successfully made some special trade-in deals with Al-Bayan Advertising and Oxy Print House in Qatar and with TNA Advertising in Kuwait to upgrade their machines with more advanced equipment,” Bilal confirmed.
The African market has proven a winner for Digi Matrix with several deals signed with advertising agencies and print houses in Kenya and Tanzania. A Dilli Flatbed
and Digi Cam 48 have been sold to Image Masters in Tanzania; a 3204T RTR solvent machine has been installed in Radio Killi FM in Tanzania.
Machines sold to Kenya include a UV flat bed machine and PS3206 to Brancom Advertising; a Digi Cam to Kkraft Design Limited; and a PS3206 to Willart Productions Advertising.
Bilal added, “In the digital printing press division, we have sealed a deal on a Konica Minolta LD6500 with Quick Print Shop in Tanzania and also installed the same model at Sama Advertising in Syria.
Armed with the above-mentioned lucrative deals, the company now is looking at further expansion into services, particularly used equipment. Bilal explained, “We have created a new department in our company to deal with used machines so that we can now offer more options to our current customers to replace and upgrade their machines as well as their production technologies and capacity; at the same time, we are offering pre-owned certified machines guaranteed by Digi Matrix Technologies as an entry level solution for some customers or applications for their special needs and urgent requirements.
“The effort and time we have dedicated to establishing our company and the careful study and research we have conducted to come up with the best solutions for our range of products related to the digital industry we are focusing on has helped us to obtain such response and great feedback from the market. It also helps that the economy seems to be recovering and coming out of the hardest stage of the financial crisis the world has faced in the last 18 months,” Bilal concluded.
